Is there any privacy anymore?

Last week, I was walking to fetch my car from the edges of Brighton on Comm. Ave. when I came across a man waiting for a BC bus. As I remember it, he was wearing a black jacket, khakis and a nice shirt. An average-looking guy. As I neared him, he pulled an electric shaver from his jacket and starting using it. “What? Why didn’t you think of this before you left, man?” I wondered loudly to myself. “When did a pretty private activity suddenly become so very public?” Did this guy expect me to avert my eyes as I walked past his personal grooming room (a.k.a. sidewalk)?

I never looked back to see if he had groomed himself well enough to attend class or wherever he was going.
