This makes me mad

Today, I noticed a new sign on Chestnut Hill Driveway, where I and countless other Brighton residents park (it runs parallel to Comm. Ave. alongside the reservoir). The sign reads: “No parking. Street Sweeping. 3rd Friday , 8 AM to 12 PM, April 3 to Nov. 30. TOW ZONE.”

Now I love to get towed as much as the next guy and I understand the state’s need to clean this very nice roadway, but why now? It seems to me DCR wants to stick it to us city residents — no tickets, just get towed — who park our cars on their road.  As it stands, DCR tows cars on that road only in snow emergencies and once a year when they used to clean it up in the summer. Now once a month? I mean I know the state wants to make money and everything, but somehow this doesn’t seem very fair at all.
