No, that’s not because that’s when the weekend begins. I’m really excited about the idea of seeing 400 Brighton schoolchildren create a Living Flag to celebrate Brighton’s bicentennial, just like schoolchildren did 100 years ago to celebrate Brighton’s centennial. The flag will be recreated on the steps of Brighton High School and you’ll be able to look at it from both Cambridge and Warren Streets. Don’t forget to go — this seems like a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity!This is happening at 9 a.m. on Friday, though I think the kids gather earlier than that.
