Did anyone see the Living Flag created by a couple hundred Boston schoolchildren dressed in red, white and blue this morning. That was amazing! It was also amazing to think of the historic significance of this event — the flag was to part of this year’s ongoing celebration of the A-B bicentennial and a recreation of the Living Flag created by Brighton schoolchildren a hundred years ago in celebration of A-B’s centennial.

Also amazing was how well-behaved and patient some of those elementary school kids were while standing outside in the sun for over an hour.

There’s many more bicentennial events coming up. One really interesting one is coming up next Thursday. That’s when the Historical Society launches the Women’s History Trail. The program will feature 15 local women and women’s organizations of distinction. See the announcement.
