Congratulations to Michele Spaleta of Brighton for being named the fourth-runner up in this weekend’s Miss Massachusetts Pageant: On Saturday, judges whittled down the contestant list to 10 finalists. After the intermission, the top five contestants were announced and then interviewed by the Mistress of Ceremonies, Janette Elman-Mandell.

The Harvard-Allston Task Force will meet on Wednesday, June 27 from 6:30 to 8:30 at the Honan-Allston Library.
The meeting will focus primarily on the Draft Project Impact Report (DPIR) for the Science Complex, which Harvard plans to file with the BRA early next [...]

Teen center at Y is open
…and it sure seems like a fun place to hang out:
Fully decorated with purple and yellow walls, paneled wall lighting and a zebra rug, the teen center also boasts three flat-screen TVs, four computer stations, a virtual gaming space and a full kitchen.
We hope that local kids will take full advantage of it.
