Long live the king

From the dancing and penny whistle blowing to the man holding two 12 packs of Pabst Blue Ribbon standing beside me in the church, the memorial for Mr. Butch was unlike any funeral or memorial I’ve ever attended.

In a night filled with laughter, my favorite detail about Butch came courtesy of Jack Harshman, his band mate in the Holy Men. Harshman told the audience that he still had Butch’s business card from the Kenmore era, and it only bore five words: “Mr. Butch, Mayor, Kenmore Square.”
