Harvard officials went before the office of consumer affairs and licensing this morning, seeking an entertainment license to hold five football games at Harvard Stadium, including the Sept. 22 game against Brown, scheduled to kick off at 7:30 p.m.

After listening to concerns from a handful of Allston residents, director Patricia Malone advised Harvard to go before the Allston Civic Association and have a better dialogue with the community.

Malone also said it is unlikely she will deny the permit. “I don’t think it’s reached a level, at least in my mind, to deny the football application,” she said.

As previously reported, residents were angered by the scheduled evening game.
