A suspect was arraigned in Brighton court this morning on drunken driving charges after a collision in which a BU student was seriously injured.

Goodbye, bargains
The Hadassah Bargain Spot at 1123 Commonwealth Ave. will close it’s doors for good on Sunday. The thrift store, which has been open for 38 years, will be open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on its final day, manager Jacob Perlmutter said.
Hadassah, the Jewish women’s Zionist organization, sold the building recently, Perlmutter said.
Skateboarder struck by car
A 25-year-old skateboarder was seriously injured after being struck by a car on Thursday on Cambridge Street, in close proximity to where two fatalities have occurred already this year.
