State Rep. Mike Moran wants Harvard to put its promises for community benefits in writing.
Police made six drinking and party-related arrests over the weekend, the first weekend they expected would be particularly loud and full of revelry.

Why you?

All six Allston-Brighton city council candidates came to TAB headquarters for an editorial board meeting this week, where they answered some questions and talked about their plans for improving life in A-B.
We also took a video of each candidate answering one simple question: “Why should the people of Allston and Brighton vote for you?” Click [...]

Read the story.

In Boston, with 100 percent of precincts reporting still unofficial results, Galluccio has 814 votes, Flaherty has 723, Nowicki has 405 and Ross has 109.

Flaherty concedes

According to a CNC reporter at Flaherty’s post-election gathering, Flaherty has just conceded.
We don’t have official results yet, but it looks like Galluccio has this race and will likely take the Senate seat recently vacated by Jarrett Barrios.

Flaherty, Gallucio split Boston votes

With 85 percent of Boston precincts reporting shortly before 9 p.m. Tuesday night, Flaherty and Galluccio look like they’re the top vote-getters so far. That’s according to the City of Boston web site. Flaherty has 635 votes and Galluccio 617. Not sure how much this means though. Cambridge will likely determine the election since it [...]

Less partying, Moore music

While it’s not in Allston-Brighton, this is still a cool event for the student population. The Museum of Fine Arts’ annual College Night is Thursday, Sept. 27 at 7 p.m.
You can get into the MFA for free with most college IDs (I still have mine for this reason), but on College Night they have a [...]

Mmmm… sushi and gentrification

Gentrification has moved into Cleveland Circle. A restaurant serving “Fine Japanese cuisine” and sushi is moving into the space that used to be a so-so Chinese restaurant — next to the always- hopping BC hangout Roggie’s — on Chestnut Hill Avenue. A peek inside reveals a really nice, posh place.
