D-14 gets new captain - again
The top cop turnover in Allston-Brighton continues, as District D-14 got its third police captain this year on Monday.
Capt. Frank Mancini, who was promoted on Friday, will now run the station.
Mancini was a Lieutenant detective in the anti-corruption unit before his promotion and transfer.

Only 124 votes were cast in Allston-Brighton yesterday in the special state election for the Middlesex, Suffolk and Essex Senate district, according to unofficial results from the city election department. Cambridge City Councilor Anthony Galluccio, who ran unopposed after winning the Democratic primary last month, received 119 of those votes.

According to this ESPN.com story (you’ll have to scroll down a bit), Kevin McBride lost his fight against Andrew Golota at Madison Square Garden this weekend.

The board of the Massachusetts Turnpike Authority approved a preliminary toll hike this morning that will go into affect Jan. 1.
