Hey, was that Morgan Freeman on Harvard Avenue?

Harvard Avenue was abuzz this morning as Hollywood visited the Grecian Diner to film a scene for the movie, “The Lonely Maiden.” Word was that beloved actor Morgan Freeman was in the beloved local restaurant. No word if the movie’s other big star, Christopher Walken, was also at there. There were, however, a whole ton of people just standing around not even trying to look busy. (I’m jealous)
If anybody out there has star-sightings to share, please do. It’s very rare that we here at the AB TAB get to “report” on these Hollywood-type of things.

These days, expect more and more opportunities to report on Hollywood folks. Boston is the hot new movie town.
Yes, Boston is super hot right now in the movie world. More than just seeing stars, I hope it will give the local economy a bit of a bump.
I have to think all those movies that were planning to film in Canada are thinking south of the border now that the exchange rate with the loonie is basically 1 to 1 with the US dollar.
Rhea, do you live and/or work locally? Have you seen any of that Hollywood money coming into our communities?
They are filming on Royal Rd in Lower Allston today.
Hey Rob, are they inside a particular business or just out in the street?
Is that Rob Tibor?
I do live and work locally. I was also prez of the New England chapter of Women in Film & Video. I am aware of a local casting agency that worked Bachelor 2 and I know some film crew who were hired. But I am also aware that a lot of the services and crew are ‘imported’ from other states. It’s a Catch-22. More film services will establish themselves in N.E. as more film work comes here.
Let’s hope they keep coming! Thanks, Rhea
Yes! Morgan Freeman and Christopher Walken both were inside the beloved local restaurant Grecian Diner on Harvard Avenue. When this picture was taken out front I was inside working really hard with both actors’ on camera doing a scene. The camera crew and staff were very nice and professional. Morgan and Christopher were really down to earth. Morgan was delightful, intellectually stimulating, I had an exciting and entertaining time. While smiling and joking outside in front of Grecian Diner on Harvard Avenue looking up at the sky Morgan asked ME!!! Where was the!#*@*? Sun at… Well, as an improve actor what did I think!*@*!>”|#?? This is Boston not California… We smiled and we went back to work.
Yesterday I spent hours freezing my butt off around the corner from the Quincy Market watching a scene from the “The Lonely Maiden” being shot. Someone said that the person in the gray knit hat was Walken and the person in the brown one was Freeman.
I couldn’t tell I was shivering too much to see straight!!
