Bloody hand a mystery

Seems kind of creepy that the cops never got an explanation for this (from this week’s police log):

Police responded to 204 N. Harvard St., Allston, on Feb. 1 because a man was reportedly bleeding from the left hand. Police suspected the victim may have punched out a window but they found no broken windows after checking the surrounding. The victim was transported to St. Elizabeth’s for treatment.
