For those of you who wondered How He Did It, this from Art Illman on how he shot the Boston Marathon route video:
Camera was superclamped to roof rack, one hour tape changed in Wellesley. It took us two hours to drive… compressed in finalcut express.
Bobby Skerry, who laid down three guitar tracks on the original music, was co-pilot.
No one seemed to notice the camera.
Original plan was to do it Sunday a.m. at 6 but the weather was iffy, so we did it Friday.
