Project Bread is asking local towns to increase their fundraising efforts as it prepares for this year’s special 40th Walk for Hunger, on Sunday, May 4. In 2007, walkers from Allston-Brighton raised $90,000 of the total $3.4 million to help hungry families throughout Massachusetts. With 450,000 people struggling to put food on the table, the need for emergency food is still at an all-time high.
