Prospective 1501 Commonwealth Ave is more like the 1930s

Charing Cross, the proposed five-story building at 1501 Comm. Ave sure has some gorgeous architecture planned. But what about the Packard cars out front? And the trolley to the left? Lastly, where can I get a snazzy outfit like the ones on the pedestrians walking down Comm. Ave?

The details:
What: 107th annual St. Anthony’s Minstrel Show, “A Medley of Melodies”
When: Saturday matinee April 5 at 1 p.m., and an evening performance at 7:30 p.m. Other performances are Sunday, April 6, 7:30 p.m., and Monday, April 7, 7:30 p.m.

Dunkin’ Donuts sign comes down

The plans were in the works but there was no timeline for it initally, but it looks like today was the day for the the old-fashioned Dunkin’ Donuts sign at 241 N. Beacon St. to come down. We’ll have more shortly.
