Is city really siding with neighbors on BC plans?

Is the BRA just going through the motions to appease BC neighbors?
I’m sure this idea — put somewhat bluntly by the poster “Eagle 1″ at the end of the Boston Herald story — has crossed all of our minds. Hopefully it’s not true.

The Boston Redevelopment authority has listened to neighbors concerns and is asking Boston College to consider not using the its Brighton campus to build dormitories. Here’s the Globe’s story.

BC Task Force to meet weekly

The Boston College Task Force will meet weekly throughout January to discuss the school’s Institutional Master Plan. At each meeting, the Task Force will discuss a certain topic of the plan. The schedule is as follows:

Jan. 8 - Athletic facilities
Jan. 16 - Traffic, transportation and parking
Jan. 22 - Housing

The Boston College Task Force meeting scheduled for Tuesday, Nov. 20 has been pushed back to Tuesday, Dec. 4. The agenda for the meeting will concern BC’s institutional master plan.

BC files master plan amendment

 Right now you can find a map of BC’s long-term campus vision, artist renderings of proposed buildings and minutes from past BC Task Force meetings.
