A-B Little League are District 9 champs

The Allston-Brighton Little League majors played in the District 9 championship game against East Boston Monday, July 12, at Smith Field in Brighton. The Allston-Brighton players won the game 5-3 and will now go on to the sectionals on Thursday in Melrose.

Boston City Councilor Sam Yoon and New York City Councilman John C. Liu will announce a friendly bet on the upcoming Super Bowl XLII this Sunday between their two hometown teams New England Patriots and New York Giants. Let’s hope Yoon wins this one!

Touchdown at the West End House Boys and Girls Club

He presented the West End House Boys and Girls Club of Allston-Brighton with a $1,000 Staples gift card. We are the champions; Bengals win Superbowl!

Cue up Queen on the boombox, because the Brighton High School Bengals are Super Bowl champs.
The team won the MIAA Division 4 Super Bowl on Saturday, defeating West Bridgewater 16-8. The team capped off its perfect season (12-0) and exacted a little revenge on West Bridgewater, who beat Brighton in last year’s Super Bowl.

The Brighton High School football team defeated Manchester-Essex Regional High School by a score of 24-7 yesterday to secure a spot in the MIAA Division IV Super Bowl.
