Power outage update

Water from Monday’s snowstorm caused a problem with the underground power system, leaving 2,500 Brighton-area customers without power for an hour and a half Monday evening.
Excessive water caused a cable problem in the system, according to NStar spokeswoman Caroline Allen. The power went out around 4 p.m. and was restored around 5:30, Allen said.

Brighton power outage

It looks like power is out in Brighton Center. The streetlights and several stop lights, including the ones at the Washington/Cambridge/Winship intersection are out as well. There is an NStar truck working on Chestnut Hill Avenue near Washington Street.
The police station still has power as well.
