The Woodsom Farm athletic fields debate finally ends or the 2012 Presidential election is over?
My guess, Barack Obama will be re-elected for a second term in office and the debate whether the town builds athletic fields at Woodsom will still be raging.

The regular bloggers among you are probably wondering what happened to the blog. It’s simple, really. When The Amesbury Blog debuted last October, it was as an additional service provided to our readers, designed for folks to engage in thoughtful and provocative public discourse.
And that’s what we want it to become: A vehicle to share your views with and to communicate with your fellow citizens. We want you to have the ability to offer your insight at your convenience, whenever the urge strikes you or an issue piques your interest.
What we want to avoid is a site for mud-slinging and personal attacks. We have found the general lack of civility demonstrated by some anonymous responders and the tone of their comments to be, well, astonishing. During the past week, 217 comments and all but one blog post have been cleared from the site.
However, we continue to welcome your thoughts and comments. All we’re asking is that you adhere to basic decorum and remember that it is perfectly fine to disagree with one another and offer alternative views in a civil, constructive manner.
What do you wish for in 2008?

New Year’s Day is traditionally the time to make resolutions for the coming year. Most are well-intentioned but many last less than a week before folks settle back into their old habits and life goes on as usual. What have been your best resolutions in the past and what changes are you committed to making in 2008? We invite you to share your thoughts.
