What a loss…

It’s always hard to hear of young lives lost. And it always seems to happen to the nicest guys. Andrew Bibbo may have picked up and moved to Milford after his many years in Clinton, but it’s clear the 22-year-old left an impression. People we’re talking to have nothing but wonderful things to say about him. Of course, who would say anything bad about him? But you just kind of know when someone was extra special and everyone who knew Andrew says he was that kind of kid.
Along with Andrew, four other families have discovered someone they loved is gone this week. You think they’re safe so long as they’re not on the front lines, but unfortunately, accidents can happen. Although Bibbo and the others didn’t die on a foreign battlefield, they did die wearing U.S uniforms and in the service of our country. We owe their families our sympathies and a debt of gratitude for the service their sons gave.
The Telegram & Gazette had some additional local reaction today and another photo of Andrew in uniform. A Navy seaman and 22, he was a man, but one look at his face and you know he was so young to be taken. The Nevada Appeal also had a little more on the crash before the names were released.
Did you know Andrew? Do you have a story to share about him? Feel free to share them by posting here.

There are no words to discribe this event and how bad I feel about this loss, except only to say i’m just so very sorry with my heart going out to his family. Rene
I was in the squadron with Drew at the time that this happened and it is true that he was the kind of person to make your day wether he made you laugh or helped you with something. I had watch with him two nights before the crash and he was talking like he wanted to move to chicago and when I told him some nice places he could stay he quickly turned me down because they were not in the heart of the city. The next night we had a get together in one of the rooms and i will never forget him jumping up and dancing just to make everyone laugh. Drew was a good man and will be missed greatly. my condolences go out to his family and friends.
