Welcome back, Potter

Saw that somewhere as a headline and guffawed. I always thought it would make a great Saturday Night Live skit — Harry Potter, 30, trying to school teenage John Travolta in wizardry at a run-down inner-city school … Sweathogwarts. Horschak as Weasley. Guaranteed knee-slapper. Remember, you heard it here first (although for all I know, they’ve already done it. My mental picture of SNL still includes Phil Hartman).
It’s in the news, of course, because tonight J.K. Rowling’s final Potter book will be released. Some of our sister papers have gone all-out with the Potter coverage, including an editorial in the Beacon-Villager of Maynard and Stow.
So what do you think of Pottermania? If you’re reading this after midnight, do you have the book in hand? Is it going to change your life whether Harry or Hermione or which of the other characters dies?
