Are you a fan of the no-leash zone at Crane Beach or do you find it has enabled dogs to become a nuisance to other people who use the beach, such as those who are just taking a walk or are riding a horse? We have heard from dog owners that they appreciate the privilege of being able to have their dogs off-leash. What do you think?

Making Liberty and Mineral one-way streets

To satisy the Federal Railroad Administration’s safety requirements and keep the quiet zone intact in Ipswich, town officials are considering making Liberty Street and Mineral Street one-ways. Liberty would be one-way going from Washington Street to Lord Square. Mineral would be one-way going from Central Street to Washington Street. What do you think about this idea? Will it make those railroad crossings safer? Do you think it will help or hinder traffic flow?

A number of Ipswich residets contacted the Chroniicle to say they had seen bald eagles in town. So far, there have bene sightings downtown along South Main Street, up on Eagle Hill nad over near Labor in Vain. Have you seen any bald eagles lately?

Did you notice the birds are really perking up in Ipswich? A resident of Linebrook Road e-mailed over the weekend to say she is hearing red-winged blackbirds near her house. And, in general, birds are calling more now and have become more active. What are you seeing and where?
