On July 1st, Plymouth becomes a pay as you throw community.
Over 100 municipalities in Massachusetts have already switched over to pay as you throw and in the process have reduced their solid waste while increasing recycling, but what does this mean for Plymouth residents?
PACTV CloseUp spoke with local representatives from town hall to get more information about the plans for implementing this program and educating residents.

13th Annual Plymouth Rotary Auction

The Plymouth Rotary recently held it’s 13th Annual Auction at PACTV. Each year, locals look forward to watching and bidding on hundreds of items donated to the Rotary from area businesses.
Bringing this auction to your TV takes the involvement of over 100 people each year- Rotarians, businesses, PACTV staff and volunteers….
This labor of love is all done in the name of service - service to the community. Over the years, the auction has raised over half a million dollars and every penny has gone right back into the community.
We recently sat down with Rotarian Lorraine Enos to discuss how monies raised at the auction supports area organizations….

Help at Tax Time

Most people feel a little anxious around tax season…am I filing the correct forms, are my deductions correct? How do I know what deductions I’m eligible for?
And this year there have been some changes to tax law and important information for people to be aware of regarding upcoming rebates.
PACTV CloseUp spoke to IRS Media Specialist Peggy Riley, to find out more about these changes and to get some helpfulhints about how to make this tax season - stress free.
