Norton police reported over the scanner a woman was in a car wash and the doors were locked and she couldn’t get out. Atleast her car was really clean…
He’s just trying to make a living.

Here’s something from the Mansfield police log this week…1:16 p.m. - A suspicious bald man at Smith and Nephew was not an intruder - he was just looking for a job
Another reason why you should always dress to impress!
Who stole the pie from the pie pan???

Someone in Cambridge reported a thief broke into their home and ate their leftover Shepherd’s pie. How rude… but atleast the thief had the decency to put the pan in the sink when they were done eating the pie.
The roomates of this person and the roomate’s girlfriend say they had nothing to do with it…hmmm sounds fishy to me. Speaking of pies, I hope everyone enjoys a nice slice of their favorite pie for Thanksgiving …and I hope no one steals your leftovers!
An urgent need?

Police said over the scanner a man walked into a store, picked up a $1,000 tv and then walked out the emergency exit. Now first of all, aren’t the tv’s usually chained to the shelves they are on? I wouldn’t mess with that person, they really need to watch some tv… I don’t know what they are going to watch though now that the writers are on strike. Pay them whatever they want; I want to watch new episodes of The Office!

Easton Police caught three thieves allegedly trying to steal tires off of cars at South Easton Motor Sales.
Hmmm… first of all, I have never stolen anything, but if I was going to steal something my first choice probably would not be taking tires off of cars (used cars to be exact, which means the tires were probably used too!) It seems like a lot of work…. and how many tires can three people actually steal and transport anyway? And what were they going to do with these tires!? So many questions!
Anybody missing a limb?

A caller in Norton reported a “large limb” was blocking the roadway on Newland Street over the weekend. Police responded and said the “limb” was moved to the side of the road. I hope it was returned to its rightful owner…
What about Ken??

A resident in Mansfield had some weird items thrown at his home last week. According to the police logs, on Nov. 4 a man reported a group of youths were knocking on his door throwing Barbie dolls at his front door. There was a similar incident reported down the street. Police found the youths and their parents were advised the group should cease their mischief for the night.
What happened to just brushing Barbie’s hair and pushing her around in her plastic convertible? What kind of Barbies were these kids throwing anyway? I hope it wasn’t Olympic figure skater Barbie, because those things are collectors’ items! (or atleast that’s what my mom says).
Some morning coffee and doughnuts?

Police reported over the scanner yesterday “some nut” in a red pickup truck was doing doughnuts on someone’s lawn. I have always wondered what the point of doing doughnuts actually is.
When my boyfriend recently purchased his new Jeep Wrangler, he did some doughnuts to show me how tight of a circle his car makes when it turns (like I really cared) . When my father used to drive a Jeep Cherokee, he did some doughnuts in an empty parking lot one day when it snowed. Perhaps Jeeps are good doughnut performing vehicles?
Maybe this could be a new selling feature for Jeep car salesmen. Just make sure you don’t eat some doughnuts before you do some doughnuts, because that could get a little messy.
Flying high…or not.

Easton Police received a call Oct. 29 a brightly colored “exotic bird” appeared to be on the loose at the 495 exit on Bay Road. The caller reported the bird did not look like it belonged in this climate…the state police said they received a call ealier that an exotic bird fell from a vehicle’s crate and they would take care of it.
Well, geez. Maybe the poor bird was trying to go home! Where would you rather be right now? Here or in Cozumel sunning yourself?!!
Thanks Jacoby!

It seems Bridgewater residents are taking advantage of the free tacos Taco bell is giving out thanks to Red Sox Center Fielder Jacoby Ellsbury’s stolen base in Game 2 of the World Series. Bridgewater police reported over the scanner that traffic on Route 18 by Taco Bell is all backed up and they are re-routing people who want to chomp on some free grub into the parking lot across from Taco Bell.
Hey… they can walk off a few calories before they eat the taco! How much do those things actually cost anyway, about $1? What a great marketing maneuver.
